In October, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it is soliciting proposals for the Healthy Watersheds Consortium Grant. The grant is intended to help protect healthy freshwater ecosystems and watersheds across the nation. EPA will fund a single grantee ― national nonprofits; nongovernmental organizations; and state, tribal, and interstate groups ― to competitively issue sub-award grants. The total amount of the grant is expected to be $3.75 million dollars over six years. Proposals are due January 5, 2015, and an informational webinar will be hosted Nov. 13. Read more.
