On June 30, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 opened the nomination period for the first annual Rain Catcher Awards for excellence in green stormwater infrastructure implementation. Nominations will be accepted until July 31 in four categories: municipal, commercial, tribal neighborhood and community levels. Winners will be notified on August 8 and awarded at the International Erosion Control Association Region 1 and EPA Region 4 Municipal Wet Weather Stormwater Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.
