Jobs for the Future, a national workforce development nonprofit, has fielded a national online survey of contractors to collect data to better understand the skills, credentials, and potential of the U.S. green infrastructure workforce.
This survey is one part of the NatureWORKS study, which is funded by the USDA Forest Service and The Kresge Foundation. The survey results will help to inform the study more about installation and maintenance workforce needs in the growing urban green infrastructure sector.
The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
If you have questions, or would prefer to provide responses through a brief phone interview, send an email to JFF researcher Kevin Doyle.
Thanks to all of the green infrastructure contractors involved in installation, maintenance and inspection who have already taken the workforce survey! We look forward to hearing from many more of you. Thanks also to WEF for joining with AmericanHort, American Society of Landscape Architects, National Association of Landscape Professionals, Tree Care Industry Association, Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Partners, and many others in supporting the survey.
