The Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) is seeking proposals for research to overcome pricing and economic barriers to using alternative water sources. Proposals for this project, Economic Pathways and Partners for Use of Reclaimed Water and Harvesting Stormwater, are due no later than May 13. The proposals should take research to the next level of completion, resulting in practical and implementable solutions for using reclaimed water and harvested stormwater. Research should address obstacles that are preventing these water sources from being effectively used and identify partners and pathways needed to create markets for them.
The total WERF budget for this research effort is $100,000. The foundation anticipates a project start date of late July or early August and expects that the project will last one year.
