For the fourth year, the Water Environment Federation (WEF) will host the StormTV Project, an annual video competition. From April 2 to June 1, WEF will be accepting videos of innovative stormwater programs, practices, products, and public outreach. The competition is an effort to recognize and highlight the work of stormwater professionals while collecting and sharing great ideas, so that communities can learn from one another.
This year the categories and judging criteria have changed. Organizations can submit up to 10 videos in one of four categories: public education, training, commercial, and programs and projects. Videos will be scored on message communication and quality as well as content matter and relevance.
Again this year, expert judges will score submitted videos, and winners in each of four categories will receive complimentary registration to the 2015 Stormwater Congress. Winning videos will be screened at the conference, and submitting organizations will be recognized at the conference and in WEF publications.
All eligible videos, not just the winners, will be added to WEF’s StormTV Project YouTube playlist. They also will be featured on the Stormwater Report website and StormTV map. Videos can be submitted until June 1, and winners will be notified in early July. Read more about the StormTV Project and submission guidelines.
