The U.S. Forest Service is launching a new monthly webinar series called Urban Forest Connections on September 10. The webcasts will take place on the second Wednesday of the month from 1 to 2 p.m. EST. Webcasts will bring experts together to discuss the latest science, practice, and policy on urban forestry and the environment. The webcasts are applicable to staff from a wide variety of backgrounds, including state forestry agencies, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, universities, private industries, and public works staff. The series will start with a presentation on “Urban Forests for Human Health and Wellness” by the University of Washington’s Kathleen Wolf and Legacy Health’s Teresia Hazen.
