From images of peaceful koi ponds to fierce tigers, the murals local artists painted on Columbia, Mo., storm drains were designed to create awareness about water quality. The goal is to remind the public that stormwater drains directly to the Flat Branch watershed, which flows into Hinkson Creek and eventually into the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico.
